Royal Birth Given Second Chance
Lost the race at the start last time but given another chance to build on the promise he showed at Kempton.
Royal Birth made a real mess of things last time out at Wolverhampton. From a wide draw he fluffed the start and found himself too far back in a race run at a true gallop.
Forced to round the field he never looked like threatening the leaders but at least he managed to run the second fastest closing sectional.
That run alone doesn’t make him backable but his previous effort at Kempton does. Again he fluffed the start and was forced to race three wide but this time he finished the race really strongly, earning an adjusted speed rating of 86.
He’s a horse with ability and the market has been to quick to dismiss his chances at 6/1 (Bet365).
