Royal Birth At Wolverhampton

Royal Birth At Wolverhampton

Finished second on his first start in 9 months despite being posted four wide for most of the race.

The 6.15 Wolverhampton is a good quality sprint and one in which Royal Birth has a huge amount of upside. He is the most lightly raced horse in the field, this being only his ninth start and put in an eye-catching performance on his return from a nine month absence.

After a sluggish start Royal Birth was posted four-wide for most of the race, a difficult task in a contest run at a true gallop. It would be perfectly understandable if he faded given the extra ground he covered but he actually finished the race strongly to grab second place.

When adjusting for sectionals he clocked an impressive speed rating of 86, in excess of his current rating of 83.

There should be plenty of improvement to come and if granted a kinder trip he should win at 9/4 (Betfred)
