Musselburgh Tips: Upper Lambourn
Looked progressive on the AW this winter and connections won the race last year.
It can be guesswork when backing a horse to transfer its all-weather form to turf but sometimes the odds warrant the risk. That is the case with Upper Lambourn in the 2.50 Musselburgh.
Back in February, he finished second in one of Southwell’s hottest handicaps this winter. It was the second time in succession that he clocked a good speed rating and he seems to be improving. Equally adept at five or six furlongs, he is only having his ninth start and looks progressive.
Connections won the race last year with Mon Brav and they could repeat the trick at 13/2 (William Hill).
