Musselburgh Races Tips: Rothesay Chancer
Well drawn for his style of running. The strong pace should play into the hands of this course specialist.
A two-time winner over course and distance, Rothesay Chancer invariably delivers his best at Musselburgh and has another good chance in the 4.55.
Last time he raced at the track he finished third in the valuable final of the Scottish sprint series. Drawn in stall 14 he had the stand’s rail draw, statistically the worst stall at the track. For a horse who likes to come off a strong pace, he predictably got boxed in, making his run far too late to challenge the principles. Drawn much wider in stall 4 he should have less trouble navigating around the traffic and can come home well of a strong pace.
