Beverley Tips: Jamaican Bolt

Travelled like the best horse on his seasonal debut until a sixth furlong sapped his stamina. Should be better back over five.

The 4.20 is a good quality sprint and as always at Beverley my focus is on the horses drawn low.

Jamaican Bolt is nicely berthed in stall two and has the profile of a very good horse. Last season he was a two-time winner and recorded Racing Post Ratings of: 78-94-71-99-96-102

Apart from a poor run at York (71) when he was said to have ‘boiled over’ his performances improved all season. He signed off with a career best second behind the smart Jack Dexter at Doncaster.

Early signs in 2013 are that he has continued his progress. He travelled well for a long way at Doncaster 18 days ago before tiring in the last furlong. Considering he was racing over a furlong further than usual and probably needed the run, it was a good performance.

We are probably looking at a Listed/Group horse and reverted to 5f he should confirm the promise by winning at 3/1 (Bet365).
