Beverley Tips: Ambitious Icarus
Drops down in grade for the first time in three races and was unlucky last time he raced at this level.
A drop in class and ease in the ground should see Ambitious Icarus deliver on some promising performances in the 3.35 Beverley.
On his last two starts he’s been outclassed in better company but go back three runs and he was a fine 5th in a class 5 handicap despite having to come wide and close off a slow pace.
He’s struggled to find his ground since, he’s 0-8 on good to firm but 4-31 on softer and conditions look ideal at Beverley.
He has a good draw and will finish strongly on the stiff track. At 12/1 (Betfred) he is a cracking bet.
