Beverley Races Tip: Singeur

Had a difficult three-year-old season and struggled with injury. Apparently over those problems and recorded a good win last time out.

Regarded as Borderlescott’s heir apparent Robin Bastiman sends out the smart Singeur in the 4.20 at Beverley. Despite the small field there should be plenty of pace in the race with the likes of Befortyfour and Tax Free used to making the running.

Highly tried as a juvenile, Singeur struggled as a three year old, as many sprinters do against their elders. The horse also struggled with foot problems in the last twelve months but showed no ill effects when winning on his seasonal reappearance.

Victory at Thirsk was achieved in eye-catching fashion, showing a good turn of foot to beat the useful Silaah. He should enjoy the fast pace and stiff track and can continue his progression.
