Beverley Tips: Face The Problem

Could benefit from a pace collapse caused by numerous front-runners in the field.

The 8.05 Beverley is a hot little conditions event, with several progressive sprinters. Heeraat is the most exciting of the lot, after his fourth place in the Palace House Stakes but he might not get things all his own way.

With Hamza, Bear Behind and Inxile in the line-up, there is likely to be a contested lead and on a stiff track, the race could set up for a closer.

Face The Problem is at his best coming from off a strong pace and drawn in stall one, conditions are in his favour. Runner-up in the Portland last year, he has some top sprint handicapping form to his name.

I doubt we’ve seen the best of him this season, his race at Chester suited front-runners and a sixth furlong at York was too far, but a stiff 5f run at a furious gallop should suit him. At 13/2 (Paddy Power) he looks the overpriced horse in the race.
