Bath Tips: Top Cop
Couldn’t go the early pace at Epsom and a return to 6f on an uphill track should suit.
Top Cop should be able to recoup our losses in the 3.35 Bath after everything went wrong when I tipped him in the Epsom Dash. He stumbled out of the gate, surrendered his draw advantage and effectively lost the race in the first few strides.
The way he travelled through the race I am not convinced a sharp 5f is what he wants anyway and a return to a stiff 6f looks more his trip, especially considering he won over course and distance as a 2-year-old.
Fair Value has been made favourite because she is best in at the weights but all her form is on downhill 5f tracks, the opposite of what she faces today.
