Tampa Bay Championship Tips: Bryce Molder

Leads the Tour in strokes gained putting and should thrive on a course where there isn’t an onus on distance.

Bryce Molder is one of the shortest hitters on tour but with Copperhead ranking 11th lowest on tour for average driving distance, he shouldn’t be disadvantaged.

The 34-year-old comes into his own on the greens. He ranks first for strokes gained putting this year and hasn’t been outside the top-20 since he became a regular on tour in 2009.

Last season he finished T20 in this event, closing with a final round of 66. With four top-25 finishes already this year, Molder should arrive in Tampa high in confidence. At 100/1 (Stan James) he looks a good each-way bet with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
