Tampa Bay Championship Tips: Brian Stuard

Has the lowest adjusted scoring average in the field and finished T4 last week.

Brian Stuard did the business for us last week when he finished T4 in Puerto Rico to land an 80/1 each-way bet and there is no reason to desert him.

The 30-year-old from Michigan might not be a household name but he’s playing some sparkling golf at the moment and deserves to be much shorter in the betting.

Stuard has made the cut in all six tournaments he has played this year, with three top-10 finishes. Only Brandt Snedeker can better that tally and I doubt he’d start a tournament at 100/1!

It’s not just his ability to finish high on the leaderboard that impresses me, he’s able to do so on a variety of different courses. He currently ranks 8th for adjusted scoring average, nobody at the Tampa Bay Championship can better that.

With the statistics overwhelmingly in his favour, his is overpriced at 100/1 with Paddy Power. Back him each-way and get ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
