Tampa Bay Championship Tips: Billy Horschel
Ranked 15th for adjusted scoring average and would be even higher but for the odd stumble over the weekend.
Having extolled the virtues of backing players with a low adjusted scoring average like Brian Stuard, we have to also back Billy Horschel at 110/1.
The 26-year-old is ranked 15th on tour for adjusted scoring average and that includes a couple of notable meltdowns. He was second heading into the weekend at the Farmers Insurance but then shot a third round 76 when paired with Tiger Woods. Excusable considering the bedlam that follows the former world number one.
Things were even worse at the Honda Classic when he shot a third round 81 when well placed going into the weekend. But the odd blip aside, his golf has generally been excellent this season.
Having made the cut in his last 18 tournaments, stretching back to April last year, he should give us a run for our money. Back him each-way at 110/1 with Bet365 and get ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
