Manchester United v Everton: Correct Score Tip

Young: Making unwelcome headlines lately.

The Toffees always make it tough, but they do still tend to lose this fixture.

The Manchester United juggernaut quickly got back on track after the slip-up against Wigan, with a 4-0 hammering of Aston Villa. If the champions very occasionally look vulnerable on their travels, it’s a rarity indeed at Old Trafford where they have won every league match in 2012 and scored in a record 47 consecutive games.

Everton are on excellent league form but their chances of really throwing the title race wide open seem damaged by their morale-sapping FA Cup exit at the hands of Liverpool last weekend. David Moyes will be a remarkable motivator indeed if he has his side over their disappointment and coming out all guns blazing on Sunday.

But the Toffees normally make it competitive on their visits to the ‘Theatre of Dreams;’ United have won three of their last four clashes here by just a one-goal margin.

Both teams have also shown they can defend in recent weeks, so we shouldn’t expect a goal-fest. The Red Devils have conceded just one goal in their last seven league outings; Moyes’ boys have kept three clean sheets in their last four.

So everything points to a low-scoring home victory by a narrow margin. It looks like the perfect opportunity for a scoreline bet and I’m going for 1-0 to Manchester United at best odds of 7/1 with BetVictor.
