Everton v West Brom Preview

Everton v West Brom Preview

Defeat against Palace was perhaps evidence of West Brom’s outrageous conversion percentages starting to cool.

As we predicted Crystal Palace went to the Hawthorns and won last weekend. The narrative around this defeat is that West Brom perhaps eased off having reached the theoretically safety mark of 40-points.

It is a convenient excuse but I doubt Tony Pullis would ever stand for such shenanigans. The real reason is West Brom have been living off unsustainable conversion percentages. They have been converting shots into goals and saving shots at league high percentages and with the best will in the world, that’s not down to elite players.

West Brom have already reached their peak this season and the only way is down. They’ve not kept a clean sheet away from home since the opening weekend of the season and Everton can win at a canter. Everton to win by two or more goals (handicap -1) is the play at 19/10 with Betfair Sportsbook.
