York Tips: York Glory

Overcame a poor draw to win at Pontefract last time out and held in high regard by his trainer.

Kevin Ryan has always held York Glory in high regard and judged on his latest win he could be right.

Neil Callan forfeited several lengths at the start of the race to get onto the rail from a wide draw at Pontefract. Normally giving away that kind of lead would be impossible to make up, but the fact he managed to still win means he should be rated at least 6lbs higher than the bare form.

Well drawn in the centre of the track, conditions should suit in the 3.15 York. He is a previous course winner and goes on most types of ground. He looks capable of making the grade in pattern races, therefore winning a handicap off a mark of 98 should be within his capabilities.
