Wolverhampton Tips: Secret Lightning
Hopelessly out of form earlier in the summer but finding her feet again. Ran well last time despite being posted wider than ideal.
Secret Lightning finished a respectable fourth when we tipped her last time at Chelmsford and there is no reason to desert her at another workable price.
The 4-year-old seems to have hit form in the last couple of months. Having been woeful earlier in the summer, she is now 16lbs below her last winning mark.
Despite being well drawn at Chelmsford last time, she was posted 3-wide turning for home, having tracked a solid gallop throughout. I doubt anyone covered more ground than her and it meant she had little in reserve, looking one paced at the finish.
The handicapper has dropped her 2lbs for that run and although she also drops back to 7f she has won at this trip before. Eventually she will reach a level where she can win again and it looks like it could be the 8.45 Wolverhampton.
