Wolverhampton Tips: Rose Garnet
Lost a race at the start when falling out of the stalls. Will go close if breaking on terms.
Rose Garnet finished second when selected for this column a fortnight ago and I see no reason to desert her in the 6.10 Wolverhampton.
Having caught the eye two starts back when going off too fast, she did the exact opposite last time at Lingfield. She fell out of the gates and forfeited her good draw by racing in midfield.
With the leaders setting a steady gallop, she quickened well but couldn’t match the finishing burst of Catalina’s Diamond.
Considering she couldn’t adopt her usual front-running tactics it was a good performance. If she breaks on terms from another good draw, she will be hard to peg back.
