Windsor Tips: First Rebellion

In a race full of unknown jockeys it makes sense to side with the proven ability of Megan Nicholls. Horse winning last time out another positive.

An unappealing days racing starts with a strange ‘World Cup of Nations’ contest for amateurs at Windsor.

Normally this is the type of race to steer well clear of but there might be an edge by backing a local rider.

As far as I understand the 1.50 Windsor brings together amateur riders from around the world, the majority therefore have only raced once, if it all in this country.

Megan Nicholls, daughter of National Hunt trainer Paul Nicholls, doesn’t fall into that category. She is 5-26 in 2014, a very respectable 19% strike rate.

Her horse, First Rebellion won last time out and has been ridden by an amateur before (finished second at Windsor), so I expect he is a relatively straightforward ride.
