Windsor Tips: Craftsmanship

Two-time course winner who finished with his customary late flourish at Chelmsford two starts back.

On a tricky day’s punting Craftsmanship stands out as a solid option given the variable conditions. The 5-year-old has won on a variety of goings and has a particularly good record at Windsor. In eight starts at the track he has finished 34611747 including a fourth place in this race last year.

Craftsmanship has spent most of this season plying his trade in a higher grade but ran well at Chelmsford when last pitched into this grade. After making his customary slow start he had plenty of ground to make up but finished strongly to get within 3 lengths of the winner.

Given his style of racing he needs luck in running and a strong pace but there are at least three horses who like to race prominently and they might set the race up for him.
