Ex-bumper horse who shaped with credit on his first flat start. Winning a maiden carrying 10-0, with a fast final sectional.
Diaktoros might be a 5-year-old but he is the least exposed runner in the 5.10 Windsor and surprisingly overlooked in the market.
There might be a bit of flat snobbery at play because he started his career in bumpers but that shouldn’t influence thinking.
Last month on his first flat start, he won a maiden carrying 10-0 and the performance was equally impressive on the clock.
Held-up in behind a steady gallop (110.7 finishing speed) the race developed into a sprint for home but he showed plenty of pace to cover the final 2f in 23.1s, the fastest on the card.
His history in bumpers suggests he will be equally comfortable on grass and he is overpriced at 7/1 (Bet365).
