Time Square Can Make All
Margin of recent defeats exacerbated by setting a strong gallop. Won last time he dropped into this grade.
Time Square has been well beaten on his last three starts but his running style often means the scale of his defeats are amplified.
The 9-year-old is at his best when able to dominate and for various reasons he’s been unable too.
Last time out at Wolverhampton he conceded the early lead, whilst the time before at Kempton he ran out of gas over 12f, a trip which stretches his stamina.
Three starts back he again set an unsustainable gallop (98.4% finishing speed) but still clocked a reasonable speed rating in a class 5 handicap.
This evening he drops into a class 7 handicap and is more likely to get a soft lead against slower horses. He won last time he raced in this grade and can go in again at 8/1 (Stan James).
