Blot on the handicap with a mark of 84, this is a 100-horse in the making.
The handicapper has made a huge error giving Mustarrid and opening handicap mark of 84 because on my speed ratings he is a 100+ horse in the making,
He finished third on debut, running the fastest closing sectional in a steadily run race. He then built on that promise by demolishing a maiden at Wolverhampton and winning by 5 lengths.
The overall time was good despite the moderate early pace and Mustarrid ran a blistering 22.7s closing sectional, which puts him amongst the fastest 1% at the track. All this was achieved as a two-year-old and he will only get better.
He is a well-bred horse, with the right connections and trainer and also has Ryan Moore aboard. I’d be surprised if he didn’t win and win well.
