Taajub Can Win For Third Time
Ran respectably after a 4-month layoff and had a warm up over the wrong trip last time, which should put him spot on.
Taajub has won this race (2.20 Lingfield) twice over in 2012 and 2014 and he can keep the pattern going in 2016.
Connections know he is capable of winning at this level and it looks as though he’s been prepared with this engagement in mind.
He finished a fair seventh only beaten 3.5 lengths on his return from a four-month break and was only 1.5 lengths behind Burning Thread who he re-opposes 5lbs better off.
Last time out Taajub finished last of seven but 6f stretches his stamina, especially one that was run at searing gallop.
He’s had a couple of spins to get fit and lower his mark and from a favourable draw he can win again.
