Lingfield Tips: Red Invader
Ran well at the track two starts back and is 5/14 in 5f races. Also has a good strike rate in class 6 contests.
Red Invader ran an absolute clunker at Southwell but some horses can down tools when getting Fibresand kicked in their face, so I’m willing to forgive one poor effort.
Hopefully a return to Lingfield can spark him into life because he ran well at the track in February. Despite being held up behind a steady pace and travelling wider than ideal, he showed good acceleration to cover the final 2f in 22.17s.
When accounting for the steady pace he earned an adjusted speed rating of 70 and collateral form also suggests it was an above average race for the grade.
That was at 6f but he is better over the minimum trip; his 5f record is 5/14 and he is also 5/22 in class 6 races. He’s not been with John Butler long and his shrewd trainer should get a win into him very soon.
