Royal Ascot Tips: Remote
Clocked a fast time when romping home in a Doncaster handicap. Runner-up franked the form by winning a Listed race on his next start.
Remote was unraced as a juvenile but he is making up for lost time as a 3-year-old. He has won his last two races and looks a lively contender for the Tercentenary Stakes at 5.00 Ascot.
Remote’s Racing Post Ratings: 65-100-112.
John Gosden’s colt is on a steep upwards curve and the manner of his latest victory suggests he hasn’t stopped yet. He floored a decent field by six lengths, with the runner-up franking the form by winning a Listed race on his next start.
Considering the ease with which he won, he still clocked a very fast time. He ran 0.3s per furlong quicker than Elkaayed did when winning on the same card.
After the race jockey Martin Dwyer described Remote as ‘the best I’ve sat on for a while’. He could be right.
