Commonwealth Cup Tip: Quiet Reflection
Ran an extremely fast time at Haydock (109 adj. speed rating) and suited by 6f with some cut.
After the huge success of last year’s inaugural Commonwealth Cup, it is slightly disappointing to see only 11-runners line-up for the 2016 edition.
There are plenty of horses with lofty ratings in the field but the standout performer is Quiet Reflection. A five-time winner in just six career starts, she has the potential to become a Group 1 performer and has the speed ratings to back it up.
Last time out she demolished a useful field in a Group 2 sprint at Haydock. Tracking a solid gallop, she finished strongly, running the fastest closing sectional by 0.38s. The winning time was excellent and she earned a whopping adjusted speed rating of 109.
All of her racing has come on good going or softer and she shouldn’t be inconvenienced by any rain. She is a smart sprinter and will be tough to beat.
