Pontefract Tip: Klynch

Bang in form with four wins in his last six starts. Last time out he ran a fine race in a higher grade.

A winner in four of his last six races, Klynch is having a tremendous season. After a miserable second half of 2010, the Ruth Carr stable are back with a vengeance. The 23 winners since April, mainly in competitive handicaps, proves her string are in fine fettle.

Once rated in the 90s, Klynch is starting to scale those heights again. Last time out at Newcastle he was the last horse off the bridle in a strong handicap. Horses from off the pace were favoured that day, but he put in a fine effort to finish a length behind in fourth.

That race was a 0-100 handicap and down in grade, he races in a 0-90 in the 4.30 at Pontefract. A repeat of his last run is good enough to win what is a weaker race.
