Nottingham Tips: Megaleka
Is 3/5 at the track and her running style is better suited to turf. Has a fitness edge over her rivals.
There has been an overnight move for Megaleka in the 3.10 Nottingham and the gamble is totally justified.
The 5-year-old has run well on the all-weather this winter despite being unsuited to the style of racing.
As a hold-up horse she’s often struggled to get into the race, especially on sharp turning tracks but her finishing burst hasn’t diminished. On the 28 February she ran a rapid 21.73s closing sectional at Lingfield.
Her running style is better suited to turf and in particular, Nottingham where she has won three times in fives starts.
Megaleka is not well treated at the weights but she has race fitness, whereas her main rivals are making their seasonal bows. She can run a big race at 8/1 (Bet365).
