Multitask Clocks A Notable Sectional

Impressive winner last time out, dipping under 22s for the final two furlongs. He could be a useful sprinter in the making.

You have to be a good horse to break 22s for the final 2f at Lingfield but that is what Multitask achieved on his last run.

By my calculations the 4-year-old just dipped under the magic number, but even if he didn’t, it was still some performance for a horse rated 60.

His dramatic improvement wasn’t implausible either. He had been running well over a mile and is unexposed at sprinting therefore his impressive victory is credible.

A 7lbs rise in the weights and step up in class shouldn’t stop him winning. The one danger is he could encounter traffic problems with his style of racing, but if he’s as good as the clock says, he should win anyway.
