Lingfield Tips: Wrood
Record on the all-weather is 22131 and looks on the upgrade. Has a good turn of foot if the race develops into a tactical affair.
Betting opportunities are thin on the ground with a number of trappy looking cards however, Wrood is one to keep onside in the 2.05 Lingfield.
She is lightly raced, has never finished outside the top-3 on the all-weather and has the tools to be a success at 10f.
She stays the trip but also has a decent turn of foot when needed. In her last race, she covered the final 2f in a rapid 22.3s. Partly this was due to the very steady pace, the final 2f were 113.7% compared to the average speed but it was still a decent performance.
There aren’t any world beaters in the field, with Gold Trail particularly short given his last lacklustre performance and Wrood makes the most appeal at 9/4 (Bet365).
