Lingfield Tips: Whaileyy

But for a short-head defeat he’d have a 100% record over 6f on the all-weather.

With several horses weighted up to the eye-balls in the 2.35 Lingfield the only horse I can see going on to better things is Whaileyy.

Having struggled to find suitable firm ground all summer, it wasn’t until he returned to the all-weather that we saw his true colours. A comfortable 1.25 length winner at Kempton, he improved his 6f all-weather record to 2 wins and 1 second place. If it wasn’t for a short-head defeat at Wolverhampton in March, he’d have a 100% record.

Marco Botti has a trip to Dubai in mind for the horse and I have no doubt he can become a Listed winner at the very least. If he turns out to be as good as I suspect he should win this race comfortably at 3/1 (William Hill)
