Lingfield Tips: The Wee Chief
Been performing better than his form indicates. Last time he raced in a class 6 handicap over course and distance he won.
The Wee Chief has been on my watch list for a while now and although he made very little impact on his last start, I’m willing to give him one last chance now he’s returned to his optimal trip of 6f.
He first came to my attention in August when he came from last to finish sixth in a steadily run race at Windsor. Subsequently he was badly hampered at Sandown and then beaten by the draw at Kempton.
He’s not been able to show his true colours for one reason or another but he is certainly capable of winning off a career low mark.
Last time he raced in a class 6 handicap over course and distance he won and at 14/1 (William Hill) he’s worth chancing on his past form.
