Lingfield Tips: Temple Road
Keeps finishing fourth but he was second best on sectional timings ten days ago. A drop in grade plus Adam Kirby in the saddle could make the difference.
Temple Road has been a nightmare for each-way backers, finishing fourth on his last five starts. He is a strong travelling horse who sometimes flatters to deceive but his sectional timings have been good.
Last time out at Lingfield he was second best on sectionals, running the final 2f in 22.78s despite appearing one-paced at the finish.
I suspect he was caught out by the rise in grade and back in a class 5 handicap, his finishing burst will be more potent.
At his best, with favourable track conditions, he is capable of running sub-22s for the final 2f.
There is plenty of early pace in the contest and the 2.20 Lingfield could be set up for Temple Road to win at 9/2 (BetVictor).
