Lingfield Tips: Speedyfix
In good form at the end of last year and has won off a similar length break before.
Freshened up after a little break, Speedyfix has the ability to win the 1.30 Lingfield.
Before the hiatus, he’d strung together a good run of form, finishing within 2 lengths of the winner on each of his last four starts. Although these performances were achieved in class 6 company, they were good races for the grade. Winners include the progressive Aubrietia and the prolific Angelo Poliziano, both have won again since.
Looking through today’s field there is nothing of their calibre. Beach Candy and Johnny Splash have recent winning form, but their victories came in weak races.
Speedyfix returns after 58 days off the track, but having won after a 47-day absence, the break will have done him some good. At 10/1 (William Hill) he looks the best bet.
