Lingfield Tips: Speak The Truth
Looked an unlucky loser two starts ago and enjoys a good strike rate at the track.
Speak The Truth looked an unlucky loser when I tipped him just over a month ago and we can gain compensation in the 2.50 Lingfield today.
Travelling well turning for home, Nathan Alison struggled for racing room in the home straight and was eventually beaten by only three lengths despite finishing full of running. His jockey seemed to accept his fate, never reaching for the whip.
Last time out at Kempton, he ran another fine race to finish fourth but his strike rate at the track is 1/9, compared to an excellent 5/28 at Lingfield.
Back in familiar surroundings, he is racing below his last winning mark and should be able to capitalise on the handicapper’s generosity very soon. At 9/2 (Betfred) he looks the best bet in the race.
