Lingfield Tips: School Fete
Winner got first run on him in a steadily run race but clocked the fastest closing sectional and earned an adjusted speed rating of 81.
All-weather maidens aren’t always the strongest races at this time of year and School Fete is the one they have to beat.
He’s already shown a decent level of ability to earn an official handicap mark of 82 but he’s probably much better than that.
Last time out he pulled very hard in a steadily run race at Beverley. Unfortunately the winner got first run on him and despite clocking the fastest closing sectional he went down by 0.25 lengths.
In defeat, he earned an adjusted speed rating of 81 and on breeding should be suited by the step up in trip if he settles better.
