Lingfield Tips: Reginald Claude
He’s a tricky ride but Racheal Kneller gets on well with him. Won two of his last three starts and has a good draw.
Having won two of his last three starts over course and distance I’m surprised Reginald Claude is 12/1 (Paddy Power) to win the 2.30 Lingfield.
His quirkiness has been well documented, he needs to be delivered very late and won’t find anything under pressure, but Racheal Kneller has struck up an excellent rapport with him.
Kneller has won three times on the horse since November and the young apprentice is riding full of confidence at the moment, exactly what the horse needs.
Last time out the pair tasted defeat for the first time in three races but an awful draw was to blame; stall 11 has a terrible record since the track was re-laid.
With a better draw in stall 3, Reginald Claude is overpriced at 12/1 (Paddy Power), even taking into account his quirks.
