Lingfield Tips: Putin
Won his last two starts on the all-weather, including when making all in impressive fashion over course and distance.
Normally I don’t like backing a horse trying to achieve something for the first time in its career but Putin has been in such fine form he could sneak a class 4 handicap in the 6.50 Lingfield.
The 6-year-old has won his last two starts on an artificial surface and has even been running well on turf, despite a 1/41 strike rate.
Last time we saw Phil McEntee’s sprinter race round 6f at Lingfield he won and in impressive fashion.
He set a very strong gallop (100.2% finishing speed) but finished his race well to win by 1.25 lengths in a good time.
From stall one, I expect Luke Morris will employ the same tactics and if his rivals aren’t alert he could slip the field and win at 7/1 (BetVictor).
