Lingfield Tips: Proper Charlie
Recent turf form can be ignored as he returns to his favourite all-weather surface. Was a course and distance winner back in May.
The 5.10 Lingfield is a typically competitive sprint with price being the main differentiator between the horses.
At the bottom end of the market, Proper Charlie seems over-priced at 11/1. His last two performances have been poor but he is an 11-race maiden on the turf and is probably just an all-weather specialist.
He was a course and distance winner in May but then struggled on his next start at Kempton when a poor draw left him too much ground to make up. He should get the strong pace he needs and back on his favourite surface, he could bounce back at 11/1 (Paddy Power).
