Peak Storm put in an eye-catching performance on his first start in 5 months and looks primed for a big run in the 3.00 Lingfield.
From a wide draw, the 6-year-old was forced to race in rear, which was the wrong place to be because of the steady early gallop (107.1% finishing speed).
Peak Storm couldn’t bridge the gap to the leader as the pace quickened but he came home in 23.6s, which matched the winner’s closing sectional.
The handicapper dropped him 1lb for that performance and he should win soon off his current mark. Peak Storm is 3/13 in class 6 contests and with a run under his belt I expect a bold showing at 7/2 (Bet365).
