Lingfield Tips: One Way Or Another
Finally scored when dropped to a class six seller; now that he has found his level he could rack up a few victories.
Nothing to get hugely excited about today but I think I’ve found a bit of value in the 1.30 at Lingfield. The bookmakers have somehow made Golden Desert the even money favourite despite losing last time out. Even more astounding is that his conqueror City Legend is 13/2 (now a non-runner) in the same race. I cannot fathom that.
Both horses are hugely inconsistent and I’m happy to swerve them both in favour of One Way Or Another. This eight-year-old has always been a talented horse but found his handicap mark beyond him. Dropped into a seller, he won easily last time out; even when badly hampered he still had enough in hand to win by one length. Kept to the same level he should go close again and 9/1 (Victor Chandler) is too big for a recent winner.
