Lingfield Tips: My Son Max
Would have won last time but for severe interference. Franny Norton is 1-1 for the trainer and this his only ride of the day.
My Son Max was a desperately unlucky loser over course and distance on his last start and he can gain compensation by winning the 4.50 Lingfield.
Back in December, he came with a winning run only to find his path blocked by tiring horses. He lost all momentum and was beaten by 0.75 lengths; it was a race he would have won with a clear passage.
To avoid the problem happening again PJ O’Gorman has made an eye-catching booking. My Son Max is Franny Norton’s only ride of the day and only the second time he has ridden for O’Gorman.
His only previous ride for the trainer was aboard My Son Max – which he won.
It might be a coincidence, but more likely, connections are giving themselves the best possible chance to recoup their losses. At 7/2 (Paddy Power) I’m on-board with them.
