Lingfield Tips: Moulin Rouge
Beaten by the draw last time but still showed a decent turn of foot for the level of racing.
Moulin Rouge went close for us on Boxing Day and there is no reason to desert the Scandinavian import.
She was an impressive winner on the 5 December at Wolverhampton, coming from the rear to win with a closing sectional of 22.8s.
She was unable to replicate that blistering sectional four days ago but she did finish quicker than anything else in the race and was slightly unfortunate to lose by 0.25 lengths.
Her wide draw meant she was forced to race further back than ideal and that probably made the difference.
There might be further improvement to be eked out and coupled with a slight drop in grade she is a worthy favourite at 2/1 (Betfred).
