Lingfield Tips: Medam
Well drawn and Duran Fentiman makes the long trip to Lingfield for his only ride of the day.
The 2.50 Lingfield is an excellent betting race because three of the top four in the market are poorly drawn.
Red Ramesses and Slatey Hen are too short in the betting considering they have almost impossible double figure draws to overcome. The favourite Artful Lady will also need some luck from stall 8.
The beauty of this race is you can get some massive prices on well drawn horses such as Medam.
Well berthed in stall 1, she also has the ability to win a race of this calibre. In September she romped home by 2.25 lengths in today’s grade before suffering trouble in running on her next two starts.
She’s been given a long break, not seen since October, but the jockey booking suggests she is primed for a big run. Medam is Duran Fentiman’s only ride of the day and Lingfield is a long way for the northern-based jockey to come just for one ride.
The clue could be his record for Shaun Harris. He’s ridden six times for the trainer, winning twice, at 14/1 and 40/1. At 20/1 (Bet365) there could be another big priced winner to go on the list.
