Lingfield Tips: Lujeanie
Won the race last year and finished with a flourish over an inadequate 5f on his last start.
Winner of the race last year, Lujeanie is overpriced to double up in the 3.05 Lingfield. Having done all of his winning at 6f he was predictably outpaced over 5f last time out, the way he motored home he was crying out for a step back up in trip.
Using my sectional timings, Lujeanie ran the final 2f in 22.82s, which is impressively quick especially when compared to Forest Edge who completed the same 2f in 23.70s on his last start despite running the first 3f in a similar time.
The one horse who can match Lujeanie’s finishing kick is Millibar but stall 1 could be problematic if she continues her habit of starting slowly. Under the conditions, I make Lujeanie favourite and therefore great value at 4/1 (Bet365).
