Lingfield Tips: Le King Beau
Been badly out of form recently but was a 4-time winner on the AW as a juvenile. Worth a small interest at the price.
Bussa looks very difficult to beat in the 2.55 Lingfield but his price is extremely short considering he has a tricky draw to overcome. At a fancy price it’s worth having a very speculative wager on Le King Beau.
Drawn in stall 5 with four hold-up horses on his inside he should be able to grab a good position in the race. The big question is whether he is good enough to capitalise on it.
On recent form that looks doubtful, he’s beaten one horse home in four outings. However, his last performance was the most encouraging; he finished 5.25 lengths behind a couple of 70+ rated horses and forced to race very wide.
Delving deep into his form, he was competitive in class 5 handicaps back in May and won on the polytrack 4 times as a juvenile. If he can recapture some of that form he could run significantly better than 40/1 (William Hill).
