Lingfield Tips: Khameela

Backing odds-on shots isn’t normally my cup of tea but in the 1.00 Lingfield we have a good horse in a bad race.

Khameela finished an eye-catching third on debut and she probably doesn’t even need to improve to win this race.

At Wolverhampton she got shuffled back at an inopportune moment, which meant she had too much ground to make up off a steady gallop. Despite having to wait for a gap she still clocked a rapid closing sectional of 22.88s the second fastest in the race. She was no match for the useful Estidraak but was the next best horse in the race.

She was picked up for just 9,000EUR during the sales, which could prove to be a bargain. A move to David Simcock cannot be viewed as a negative and at 4/5 (BetVictor) she should run out an easy winner.
