Impressive last time out when drawn wide but still won chasing a strong gallop.
Drawnfromthepast was an impressive winner 5 days ago and can take the 5.00 Lingfield even under a penalty. Trapped wide and chasing a strong pace he showed great tenacity to hold off the closers and win by 1.25 lengths at Wolverhampton.
Most of his recent all-weather form has been in claimers, but he retains the ability to be competitive in moderate class 5 handicaps. He races in the same grade this afternoon, probably the last opportunity to win a handicap before his mark gets too high and he reverts to claiming company. At 10/3 (William Hill), he looks very difficult to beat.
