Lingfield Tips: Diletta Tommasa
Took a while to find cover, which meant she raced further back than ideal. Ran fastest closing sectional in defeat and has good strike rate at this level.
Diletta Tommasa was beaten 0.75 lengths on her last start over course and distance and can win the 1.30 Lingfield under a different pace scenario.
Slowly into stride from a wide draw she took a while to find cover and settle into the race. By this stage those ridden more prominently were enjoying the run of the race, setting an even but by no means strong gallop.
Diletta Tommasa clocked the fastest closing sectional as she weaved through horses but the leaders weren’t coming back to here and she failed to get to the winner in time.
The 6-year-old has a good strike rate (6-38) and if getting a stronger pace to aim at, she can win at 6/1 (Boylesports).
