Lingfield Tips: Dandy Boy
Couple of performances this year approached Group 1 class. Should prove too good.
Dandy Boy is 6lbs superior to anything else in the 2.50 Lingfield on official ratings and considering his form this year, he deserves to be shorter in the betting.
On his last start, he finished fourth in the Betfred Sprint Cup, a Group 1 contest and one of the best sprint races in Europe. Flops in the Nunthorpe (trip) and July Cup (ground) were both excusable but prior to that he won the Wokingham handicap at Royal Ascot.
Twice this season I’ve awarded him borderline Group 1 speed ratings, considerably better than anything else achieved by this line-up. He’s proven on polytrack and as long as they go a reasonable gallop his class should shine through.
